From Otaru, delicious Hokkaido food to the whole country
[Introduction to wholesale products]
From the late Edo period through the Meiji and Taisho periods, the Kitamae-bune, a merchant ship known as a mobile general trading company, crisscrossed the Sea of Japan, transporting a variety of goods.
Ships sailed from Western Japan through the Hokuriku region, carrying daily necessities to Hokkaido, and from Hokkaido to Western Japan, marine products and mineral resources. During that time, Otaru became the gateway to Hokkaido, thriving as a major logistics hub where goods were gathered, and at the same time, seafood processing techniques were refined in order to send marine resources to distant lands.
UNGAPLUS has launched the Kitamae Ginsen Series, a collection of carefully selected seafood products and delicious ingredients from each region of Hokkaido, delivered from Otaru to customers across Japan, reflecting the history of the Kitamae ships that connected Japan through maritime transport.
Canned seafood series
The canned goods are manufactured in Nemuro, Hokkaido, and the canning method is based on a simple and uncompromising philosophy of using fresh, delicious local ingredients to produce the highest quality canned goods, a philosophy that has been carefully maintained since the store first opened.
Vacuum-packed smoked snack series
The Kitamae ships sailed the Sea of Japan, transporting goods and culture. They also brought a wealth of seafood from Otaru. This special smoked snack series condenses the delicious flavors of that seafood. Each one is individually vacuum-packed and bite-sized for easy eating. They go well with beer or sake.

DELICIOUS STOCK HOKKAIDO
During the pioneering period, many immigrants to Hokkaido introduced food cultures from all over Japan. Hokkaido's food has been created by the people who live here, making use of the blessings of nature. Food processing has continued to evolve in the pursuit of delicious food that can be enjoyed all year round. Canning is a representative processing technique that has continued since Hokkaido's pioneering period. DELICIOUS STOCK HOKKAIDO cherishes Hokkaido's rich food culture, while also reexamining what changes and what remains the same in an increasingly diversified lifestyle, and packs delicious Hokkaido food that you'll want to keep on hand into cans and delivers them to your table.

This and that, the deer path
The relationship between humans and Ezo deer has been passed down in the northern lands since time immemorial. Ezo deer are an important part of Hokkaido's history, having long supported our lives. Today, we must face and compromise with limited resources so that agriculture and forestry can coexist with Ezo deer roaming Hokkaido's vast wilderness. UNGAPLUS will enhance the value of Ezo deer as a "gift from the mountains" of Hokkaido, exploring the potential of Hokkaido gibier, and cherishing this limited food resource to deliver it to everyone.
"Kakkaku Shikajika Shika no Michi - Ezo Venison Smoked Aroma Series" uses a homemade blend of chips such as cherry blossom, plum, apple, and pine for smoking to bring out the natural flavor of the venison, resulting in a well-balanced, gentle aroma.
