The lifestyle and spiritual culture of the Jomon people, which continued for over 10,000 years. With the Jomon period sites in Hokkaido and Tohoku being registered as UNESCO World Heritage sites, attention has been drawn to the high level of culture and spirituality of the time, and I think there have been more opportunities to rediscover their appeal. In Otaru City, remains such as earthenware and stone circles from approximately 3,500 years ago still exist, and they stand as cultural properties that evoke a sense of scale different from modern historical buildings. This time, the Otaru City Museum of History and Culture Main Hall Special Exhibition "Jomon Culture of Otaru and Yoichi: Cord Marked Pottery" will be held in Otaru, the birthplace of archaeology in Hokkaido. To take advantage of this opportunity, the Otaru Department Store UNGA↑ will also be holding a special exhibition where you can enjoy "Jomon" culture. Please enjoy these three days with us, along with the museum's special programs, together with those who have a strong love for the Jomon period.
Doniwa Department Ueda Sōgadō Nina SHARO There are 28. Half-human, half-frog. Kimran-do
Why not decorate these original "fashion glasses" from the Doniwa-bu workshop to create your own sparkly, deluxe pair? You can become a "shikōki-dogū" (a type of ancient Japanese statue) just by putting them on! Kids will love them, and adults will probably get pretty hooked too. Please see here for details. https://www.facebook.com/doniwab/posts/4783640765052887 ● Click here for information on the special exhibition at the Otaru City Museum (Otaru City Website) https://www.city.otaru.lg.jp/docs/exhibition/otarumuseum.html
