Takayuki Ueda

Born in Nemuro, Hokkaido. In 1996, he opened Ryuko Kiln in Harukacho, Otaru. Based in Otaru, he specializes in Hokkaido's soil and wood ash glazes, creating eye-catching tableware with beautiful colors born from nature. The texture of the soil and the moist glaze made from wood ash create a rich expression, adding color to your daily dining table. His works are mainly exhibited at department stores and galleries both in and outside Hokkaido.
