Mariko Doi

In Sapporo, she creates her pieces with the keywords "glamour, fun, beauty and kindness". Inspired by the ever-changing nature of wind, water and growing trees, she always uses free-thinking ideas to create pieces that add a touch of glamour to the lives of those who use them. By using semi-porcelain clay, the glaze's colour shines brightly, as does the smooth whiteness of porcelain clay, while also being as easy to handle as ceramic clay, allowing for thin forms on the potter's wheel, which makes for a pleasant texture.
