Yoshiro Tsukiji
Born in Sapporo. Graduated from the Department of Life Design, Faculty of Arts and Crafts, Tokai University in 2013. While at university, he studied pottery under Nansen at the Minakagama kiln in Biei. After graduating, he studied under a potter in Asahikawa for a year. In 2017, he became an independent potter. With a fundamental theme of "moderation," he continues to experiment with a variety of glazes, including works using powdered glaze and black glaze, and works that pursue "the green of Hokkaido" and have a tasteful green glaze that resembles verdigris (the rust that occurs when copper oxidizes).
