Tanuma Glass Studio

Otaru-based glass artist Haruhiko Tanuma and Eri Tanuma's glass workshop. The couple honed their glassmaking skills in Toyama City, where glass-themed urban development is underway, and in 2001 they established a workshop in Otaru where they continue to create. They create glass pieces that add color to our lives, including glass pieces with cuts and moldings, and vases and objects with animal and plant motifs. Their shop offers pieces that allow you to experience the allure of clear glass, such as molding glass, which is created with a process in mind to prevent impurities from entering the glass, even from the glass melting stage, and is crafted to preserve the beauty of glass.
