Residing in Zenibako, Otaru City, Hokkaido, this potter has been based in Sapporo but has recently expanded their activities to Tokyo and Osaka. They have developed a unique style based on "yakizume" (a type of firing technique) through research and creative work at university. The works combine a delicate and beautiful form, born from calculated reduction and refinement, with the subtle luster created by the hard-fired clay, creating a sense of quietude while retaining a certain warmth. They blend into various scenes and are supported by a wide range of people.
