Enjoy the deliciousness of Hokkaido at your table.
During the pioneering period, many immigrants to Hokkaido brought food cultures from all over Japan. Hokkaido's food has been created by the people who live here, making use of the blessings of nature. Food processing is one example of this, and has continued to evolve in the pursuit of delicious food that can be eaten all year round. Canning is a representative processing technique that has continued since Hokkaido's pioneering period.
DELICIOUS STOCK HOKKAIDO cherishes Hokkaido's rich food culture, while also reexamining what changes and what stays the same in our increasingly diverse lifestyles, and delivers delicious Hokkaido food that you'll want to keep on hand to your table.
We capture the bounty of Hokkaido's rich fishing grounds and the land, along with the story of Otaru, in cans and deliver them to your table from the historic Old Otaru Warehouse, Hokkaido's first commercial warehouse.
[Hokkai Cannery x UNGAPLUS]
Hokkai Seikan began manufacturing food cans in its birthplace, Otaru, in 1921 (Taisho 10). Starting out by producing cans for salmon and crab, Hokkaido's marine resources and export items, the company later expanded its business to include Hokkaido's agricultural and livestock products, such as asparagus, sweet corn, and milk, producing a wide variety of high-quality cans and supplying them to food manufacturers. The century-old company continues to embrace the times and strive for "one-of-a-kind manufacturing." Meanwhile, UNGAPLUS is a regional brand launched in 2019 at the former Otaru Warehouse, which boasts over 130 years of history, with the aim of conveying the "story of Otaru" along with local craftsmanship. During the preservation efforts at Hokkai Seikan's Warehouse No. 3, the two companies came together with the same vision, leading to the creation of this collaborative can, with the aim of "telling the story of Hokkai Seikan."
