This small donut-shaped straw trivet is made from straw from Sado Island and is produced by Honma Kazuyu Shoten, a shop in Sado, Niigata Prefecture, that has been making traditional bamboo crafts for over 70 years. 
Straw crafts have been cultivated in the rice-producing region of Niigata along with the history of rice cultivation. Carrying on this tradition, each piece is hand-woven using koshihikari rice straw harvested on Sado Island. 
Rice straw is wrapped around the core and tightly woven, making this a strong, non-slip trivet. 
It is heat resistant and stable, so it can firmly support heavy pots such as earthenware pots.

It comes with a hanging string, so it doesn't take up much space and can be stored while keeping it dry. 
We have two different sizes available in our store: medium and small. Please take a look.

Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Please note that we cannot accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, changes to your order details, or modifications to your order for customer convenience after the order has been completed.
If, in the unlikely event, the delivered item is defective, please contact us via the inquiry form within 7 days of receiving the item.
In the case of a defective item, we will cover the shipping costs associated with the return.
