Yoko is a yogurt liqueur made by Tatenokawa Brewery, which was founded in 1832 in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture. This liquor is made with plenty of fresh yogurt delivered from a workshop at the foot of Mount Chokai, which towers over the border between Yamagata and Akita prefectures.
The "BAR Yoko" series is set in a bar and depicts encounters and stories between the mysterious bar owner "Yoko" and her unique customers, expressed through alcohol.
BAR Yoko is located in a mountain hut at the foot of Mt. Chokai. It opens only on weekends when fresh yogurt is available, but is closed most weekends. The rich and smooth yogurt liquor, made with plenty of Jersey yogurt, is sure to captivate anyone who tries it once. (Although customers may be looking for Yoko) No one knows Yoko's true identity.
This is a new type of liqueur made by mixing Tatenogawa Junmai Daiginjo sake with Jersey yogurt, a raw liqueur that is bottled raw without any pasteurization. It is made with 50% yogurt and Jersey cow's milk, and is characterized by its smooth texture, soft texture, creamy texture, and rich flavor. Please give it a try.
