"Hidasuki" is a decorative technique representative of Bizen ware. In the past, it was a method of wrapping straw around the pieces to prevent them from sticking together during kiln firing. The marks left by the straw resemble a sash, and because they often develop a reddish-purple color, the technique is called "Hidasuki".
By wrapping straw around the pot during firing, the components of the clay and straw undergo a chemical reaction, creating beautiful crimson lines. Because each piece is handmade, the expression of "Hidasuki" (crimson-striped pottery) varies from piece to piece.
This cup has a rough texture that evokes the warmth of the earth. The flat handle fits two fingers comfortably, making it easy to hold and stable, and it fits well in the hand.

In principle, all items in your order will be wrapped together as one package; however, depending on the size or quantity, items may be divided into two or more packages. Fragile items such as mugs will be wrapped individually.

Returns, Exchanges, and Cancellations
Please note that we cannot accept returns, exchanges, cancellations, changes to your order details, or modifications to your order for customer convenience after the order has been completed.
If, in the unlikely event, the delivered item is defective, please contact us via the inquiry form within 7 days of receiving the item.
In the case of a defective item, we will cover the shipping costs associated with the return.
