Mt. Kenashi Observation Deck is located on Route 393 between Otaru City and Akaigawa Village, on the way to Kenashi Pass. Tengu, one of the three most famous night views in Hokkaido, is a popular night view spot in Otaru, but the view from the Mt.
Although it is slightly lower than Mt. Tengu at 470m above sea level, many visitors come all the way from far away to enjoy the panoramic view from Otaru City to Ishikari Bay, which is unique to this observatory. After the sun goes down, the area is shrouded in darkness, so if the weather is clear, you can see the stars beautifully. Please note that the parking lot is closed during the winter.
