”STONE and IRON" is a cafebar and hostel in a renovated century-old stone warehouse, with the first floor serving as a caferestaurant open from lunch time to dinner time and the second floor as a two-room guesthouse.
The "stone" of the stone warehouses that still shape Otaru's unique streetscape and the "iron" of Hokkaido's first railroad, which was once laid in Otaru, combine to create the stone and iron based atmosphere of "STONE and IRON," a space that feels somehow Otaru and exotic at the same time.
In addition to five seats at the counter, where you can see into every corner of the kitchen, there are six box seats and six tables. The lunch menu offers several kinds of dishes such as a green curry set and croissant open sandwiches. The dinner menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including dishes using Otaru Jidori chicken, for those who want to enjoy a light drink or a full meal.
You can enjoy a cup of coffee made by a barista, various dishes using Otaru Jidori chicken, and wines mainly from Otaru and Yoichi.
