獲れたてをその日のうちに天日干しし、熟成を深めるにつれて旨味を出し、上品な味わいになります。
肉厚で歯ごたえがあるので、だしをとった後の昆布は刻んで佃煮やふりかけにしても美味しくいただけます。

Rishiri kombu
Even wrapped in Rishiri kombu, products from Kafuka are high quality and highly praised. It is both fleshy and chewy, and the kombu that has been soaked in dashi can be chopped finely and deliciously enjoyed with preserved food boiled in soy and as a seasoning.
At one time, kombu was one of the main products carried on cargo ships from Hokkaido to Honshu. The distribution channel that they transported the kombu along was called the "Kombu Road", and the places where they transported the kombu gave birth to original foods and ways of eating, creating Japan's food culture of today.
