Otaru 100 Scenes vol.18

"What is this?" I found while walking around Otaru

At dusk...

His gaze gazing into the distance.

I first noticed him during his sarcastic, best-positioned performance, "The Sunset Sees Everything." I immediately recognized him from his appearance as "One-Eyed Joe," the lone Totanista of the Kita Canal that I had heard rumors about.

His life is full of drama.

The face guard around his mouth and on his right side was to protect him from dead balls when he went to the American Major Leagues alone as a young player and played as a two-way player.

Joe fought his entire career in the US Major Leagues using only his right eye.

He stubbornly refuses to say why he lost his left eye.

After achieving many glories as a player, he retired from Major League Baseball and returned to his hometown of Kita-Unga, where he took advantage of his sturdy physique and threw himself into the world of Totanista.

The world was amazed by his brilliant transformation.

For several decades since then, everyone has come to respectfully refer to him as "Han Blood."

One-eyed Joe is a treasure of the North Canal Totanista world who continues to speak quietly with his whole body every day. He's so cool.

Commonly known as: Han blood
