"What is this?" I found while walking around Otaru

While carefully researching the Otaru City designated historic building "Old Otaru Warehouse," which houses Otaru Department Store UNGA↑, we discovered a major similarity between the building and the national character "Sazae-san."

The iron door of the old Otaru warehouse is probably over 100 years old, which means it was created before Sazae-san.

Hasegawa Machiko-sensei... Was this where you got the idea for Sazae-san? I'm sure it was.

It's a bit...a bit of a stretch, haha, but now...the heavy door of history has opened.
